Gods and Heroes Rome Rising
It's been a while since I've posted on here I know. I have been pretty busy working and teaching at the Academy of Art. I'll just share a few items of note from the last year or two. Last year I was shocked to see my facebook explode with former coworkers tagging and posting about Gods and Heroes (the game I worked on) being shipped. How is that possible I asked. Perpetual Entertainment never lived up to it's name and fell apart before finishing either of it's two game projects. Well it turns out that some company in Texas (Heatwave Interactive) bought up all our artwork and the publishing rights and was somehow able to fix the engineering problems and ship the game six years later. So I now have a shipped title on my resume and Heatwave Interactive was nice enough to put a Perpetual Entertainment Credits section in their instruction manual. Those were fun times casting spells and crumbling statues and generally throwing particles around with wild abandon. I found a copy of the game on the shelf at Gamestop and picked it up for $40 or $50 I think. It's nice to have a tangible reminder of the work I did there sitting on my desk at home.
